If there is one thing the most successful and widely used software products have in common, it is the ability to be easily customized and extended to suit the specific needs of their users. For many years I have dreamed of Author-it having that same ability. Today we realize that dream. Today we begin a new chapter in the life of Author-it with the official release of the Author-it SDK, Author-it Plug-ins, and Author-it DevHub.

Getting here has taken a huge effort from many devoted and talented people at Author-it...

For some time we've been working on a better way for developers to integrate with content stored in Author-it. Our main goal with this project was to give consistent access to content across a wide variety of platforms and languages. It shouldn't matter if you're writing business systems with Java or web applications with Ruby, the Author-it SDK will be the way to go.

This year has been the year of the developer at Author-it. We've been hard at work creating better ways to integrate with our products, which culminates in the launch of the Author-it DevHub community site. This is where you'll find all the information you need to create solutions with Author-it technology.
